Programming - Return to branches
OPENING QUESTIONS:
Please make a copy of THIS code snippet and play with it.
COURSE DOCUMENT: Ver 1.70 is HERE
WORK O' THE DAY:
We'll take 25 minutes to finish-- that will model a 55 minute day (since we had about 30 minutes to actually work on it yesterday.
Look at your list and prioritize items. Work on finishing the most number of items and NOT getting hung up on any one detail.
═══════════════════════════
Let's practice our objects and branching today.
To wit:
Please write a wee bit o' code that does the following:
- Copies the code from the opener in to make a colored rectangle
- Places 3 combo-boxes on the screen (named AND labeled appropriately) with an associated check box. That means that there should be 3 distinct combo boxes each with one check box
- Each combo box should be set to false by default
- The first combo box allows the user to select at least 3 different 'flavors' of red
- The 2nd combo box allows the user to select at least 3 different 'flavors' of green
- The 3rd combo box allows the user to select at least 3 different 'flavors' of green of blue
- Once all 3 check boxes are selected you will use the colors selected by the user to change the color of the rectangle. You MUST use branches (if statements) for your comparisons. How you do that is up to you!
When you are done, chuck it into the submission form under the "colorsIfPractice" option
